The left-hand t-piece went on without too many problems. I cleaned up the two pipes as I went - the front one coming from the water pump and the rear one going to the heater. I left the right-hand side t-piece for another day: I'll need to dismantle the entire carburettor on that side to get at it. The next sunny day, I promise! The old one doesn't look too bad - a bit perished but not showing any signs of leaking or imminent explosion - I hope!
