It might not look all that elegant, but this is the 12-volt power adaptor that can power the portable CD player. The cigarette lighter socket is both switched (via the ignition) and fused, so it's safe and can't accidentally be left on to flatten the battery. If it becomes a permanent fixture, I'll hide it behind the dash somewhere and just run the power lead into the parcel shelf.
