Amongst the box of spares that came with Kathy's Morris 1300 Nomad was a pair of Lucas 9H horns -- something that Dame Zara lacked. I could only make the 'Low' one work, so I wire-brushed off the rust, gave it a spray of satin black, and voila!
Parp, parp!
Now, I have two broken 9H's (and a pair of older Windtones as well) -- how do I fix them?

Hi. Did I just see Dame Zara at the Clunes Booktown festival? :-)
I was so thrilled to see another 1969 Daimler and only realised later it was probably you.
indeed, that was us: what a shame we didn't get to meet. Have you made much progress with yours? (did you also see the lovely Austin-Healey? And there was a light blue 30s sportscar -- a Singer maybe? -- blatting about as well)
Progress has slowed down a whole lot over the last few months - I just don't seem to have enough minutes in each day lately. At the moment it is bare metal, treated and partly primed, and not much more.
My wife and I are expecting at the moment so I don't expect to make much progress this year. Ah, well, I own it and I'm looking after it so it probably doesn't matter if it takes a few years to get there.
I grabbed some photos of Dame Zara and of that lovely Austin Healey. I also got some photos of the big old Jaguar Mark IV that was there on the Sunday.
