Hello my dears,

This will be the blog of Dame Zara Moneypitt, which I have already decided will be the name of my Daimler V8 saloon.

As I said to someone the other day who asked 'why on earth do you want a Daimler?', I have finally saved (oh, all right, largely borrowed) a reasonable amount of money, and now I want to spend it over and over again on something that I love.

The search has been arduous, and I have seen at least one sad rustbucket and missed out on a few great 'restorer's opportunities' but with any luck the car for me is out there waiting - perhaps it will even be one of the two I am inspecting this weekend ...
